Apples ans Strange Presidents cur. by Chaos and Cosmos : Fanny Irina

30 March - 6 April 2025

Galerie Cécile Fakhoury is pleased to announce the participation of artist Fanny Irina in the group exhibition Apples and Strange Presidents.

Born in 2000 in Bondy, France, Fanny Irina currently lives in Paris, where she is a fourth-year student at the Beaux-Arts de Paris.

Like a storyteller, Fanny Irina narrates tales accompanied by hybrid characters. Through the variety of materials she explores—pencil, pastel, painting on textile, ceramics—recurring themes emerge, evoking a world at the crossroads of the fantastical and the intimate.

Fanny Irina’s universe carries an atmosphere of childhood, a sincerity of form, and a presence of the body—understood not as a body in becoming, but as a body in its own right, still untouched by the imprints of life, which paradoxically make themselves felt through their absence. With a stroke full of gentleness that does not shy away from the ambiguity of memory, the artist’s works fluidly navigate between worlds. The bodies she depicts seem to exist on the same plane—in gestures as well as in form—the skin like a fur, physicality as a given, preserved from social judgment.
