Since 2019, SILLON has been charting a singular path in the heart of the Drôme, combining contemporary art, intercultural dialogue, and the promotion of the region. In six years and three editions, the biennial has earned recognition from both the art world and the public, becoming a landmark cultural event in France and Europe, celebrated as much for the quality of its artistic program as for its profoundly transversal approach.

Conceived from the outset as a journey of art and encounters, SILLON has sought to break down disciplinary boundaries, bringing together artists, thinkers, farmers, artisans, and residents around major contemporary issues: cultural diversity, ecology, spirituality, transmission of know-how, and the relationship between art and territory.

While this transversality has forged the identity and influence of the event, in 2025 SILLON has chosen to return to the heart of its project: a dense and ambitious program of exhibitions, highlighting the visual arts in all their diversity. By restoring the central place of artistic research, the sensitive experience of art, contemplation, and reflection, SILLON reminds us that art is both a right and a necessity, a tool for deciphering our times, and an invitation to fully inhabit our territories.

For this 4th edition, SILLON is geographically refocusing around Dieulefit—a land of potters, ceramists, and artisanal know-how, a haven of modern thought that embodies the intimate bond between heritage, creation, and civic engagement that the biennial carries forward. Its exceptional natural setting and its history, marked by solidarity and resistance, make it the perfect setting for this new edition. We warmly thank the municipality for its remarkable support.
