TRAMé(e)S @ Musée Jean Lurçat et de la Tapisserie Contemporaine.: Marie-Claire Messouma Manlanbien
After Pélagie GBAGUIDI in 2024, artist Marie-Claire MESSOUMA MANLANBIEN was invited by the TRAMé(e)S project to undertake a research residency at the Université Catholique de l’Ouest in Angers in the spring of 2025. Drawing on the Apocalypse Tapestries and Jean Lurçat’s Le Chant du Monde housed in Angers, the artist conducted research on healing through plants, conceived as a poetic and critical response to worlds in struggle. Her work is presented as part of the TRAMé(e)S exhibition at the Musée Jean Lurçat et de la Tapisserie Contemporaine.
