From 3 February to 1 August 2021, the Institute of Islamic Cultures, in partnership with Think Tanger and Doual'art, presents the exhibition "Zone Franche", organised as part of the Africa2020 Season.

"Zone Franche" is a collective adventure, the fruit of a meeting between three artistic structures located in Cameroon, Morocco and France, driven by the same desire to interact with the urban ecosystems that saw their birth. Based on the testimonies of numerous local creators and experts, Doual'art, Think Tanger and ICI have co-created an exhibition in the form of an autonomous poetic and symbolic space. In contrast to the enclave it usually refers to, this Free Zone explores the movement of travellers, goods and imaginary beyond material or invisible limits.

With "Zone Franche", the ICI is the Headquarters of Africa2020. On this occasion, it hosts an exhibition and a whole multidisciplinary programme for six months in the spirit of a small temporary pan-African cultural centre.
