As part of BIENALSUR, Yo-Yo Gonthier presents his video "Burey Bambata" (Big Clouds) at the Palacio Dionisi in Córdoba, based on a performance "the Talking Cloud" with artists in Niger in 2016. Yo-Yo Gonthier will be in Buenos Aires from August 28 to September 4, 2023 to present his collaborative and performative work to art collectives, artists and institutions interested in building a program for 2024 with him and the Institut français d'Argentine.
Yo-Yo Gonthier questions the elimination of memory in a Western society where speed, progress and technology seem to be the essential values. As a protection against this current situation, the collaborative artistic gesture appears as a possibility for personal and collective emancipation.
