BUSAN BIENNALE, BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA
Artist Cheikh Ndiaye takes part in the 2024 edition of the Busan Biennale, "Seeing in the Dark", to be held from August 17 to October 20, 2024.
The theme of the Busan Biennale 2024, "Seeing in the Dark", proposes to re-imagine where humans are in today's "darkness". It is an attempt to rethink today's world outside the framework of conventional thinking in the context of contradictory situations (such as emerging systemic change and surveillance) and normative social structures, and to find positions of self and nature at a higher level. In the context of the exhibition, the terms "darkness" and "vision" are interpreted in a broad sense, including the broadening of our senses and illumination beyond physical concepts.
