Exposition personnelle, Dalila Dalléas Bouzar @ Salle d'exposition du Bois fleuri: Dalila Dalléas Bouzar

60 Rue Lavergne, 33310 Lormont, France 20 January - 14 March 2026
Overview

Born in Oran in 1974, Dalila Dalléas Bouzar lives and works in Bordeaux. Trained initially in biology, she discovered painting during a workshop in Berlin. This practice, which she later refined at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris, has since become her medium of choice. Her figurative style, at the crossroads of realism and dreamlike imagery, rejects the authority of overly precise drawing in favor of an unrestricted experimentation with color and a contrasted treatment of light. From the political to the historical, from the biological to the psychological, her work questions the powers of pictorial representation. Her obsession with painting bodies and faces reflects her desire to consider portraiture as a tool for investigating identity. Dalila explores the critical expression of power relations, from patriarchy to colonialism. Her practice has expanded to include performance and textile art, two ways of testing her body through ritual forms and collective creation.

Through her work, Dalila Dalléas Bouzar gives visibility and a luminous presence to these wounded identities, paying tribute to their strength.
