Finissage : Hommage à Franck Hermann Ekra

We share here our profound sadness following the passing of Franck Hermann Ekra (1974 - 2026), art critic and curator, whose work was shaped by a deep commitment to artists, their works and the narratives they create, as well as by a constant desire to bring them into dialogue and help them reach wider audiences.

He conceived and curated the exhibition Le temps du rêve de l’enfant, currently on view at the gallery in Abidjan. Today, the exhibition takes on a particular resonance and will remain the last project we had the privilege of developing with him. It bears witness to his singular perspective, his close relationship with artists, and his deep commitment to art and culture.

On the occasion of the exhibition’s closing, on Saturday, September 12, from 4 to 7 pm, we invite you, in collaboration with the Fondation Bernard Binlin Dadié, to join us for a moment of remembrance, featuring readings and contributions from artists, friends and those close to Franck Hermann Ekra.

Your presence with us will be precious as we celebrate Franck’s memory, a companion in thought and work, a singular voice and a free spirit who, with conviction and independence, contributed to the narratives of contemporary creation.
