Fresque : Une envolée: Yo-Yo Gonthier

Galerie Cécile Fakhoury is pleased to share Une envolée, a mural created by Yoyo Gonthier in September 2026 at 8–10 rue de Comminges, in Cazères, France. The project was made possible with the support of the association Les Chemins, the City of Cazères, and Cœur de Garonne, notably through the provision of its “flying” truck, as well as the encouragement and support of local residents throughout the artist’s weeks spent working high above the ground.

“At its origin, a song, a polyphony, the beating of wings, the magic of hovering flight, encounters, gazes—all experiences shared with the world of birds, and the age-old dream of flying. To depict a collective takeoff, individuals caught mid-flight in a mural, a scene visible to all. Perhaps, on closer inspection, what is at stake is not merely a taking flight, but an attempt at an uprising.”
