After a residency at Villa Soudan in Bamako, Mali in partnership with Galerie Cécile Fakhoury, the Togolese artist Sadikou Oukpedjo will present a series of paintings in a solo exhibition from March 6 to April 5, 2020.
The universal relationships between Man and Animal, Culture and Nature are the foundation of Sadikou's artistic approach. He questions their complementarity, their interdependence and often their opposition, definitively convinced that it is indeed Man who learns from the Animal to become hybrid; this link becomes catharsis. In a creative residency in Bamako, Sadikou is reconnecting with a world that is certainly well known, but strongly degraded.
