From May 5th to June 2nd, 2018, in the frame of the fringes of the 13th International Dakar Biennale, Galerie Cécile Fakhoury presents three monographic exhibitions in Jardin des Aromates at Hotêl Le Sokhamon.
In L’Atlantic Noir (The Black Atlantic), painted portraits by Dalila Dalléas Bouzar are holding expressions shaped by time with restraint as if frozen. Through FORE, Kassou Seydou presents his recent series of paintings gathered according a spiritual synergy. The graphic lines, perpetual writings to decipher and characteristics of the artist’s plastic vocabulary represent the allegories of the contemporary society the artist dreams of. Pursuing his reflection on conceptual notions such as space and history, Retour (Return) by Jems Koko Bi is a depiction of a positive exodus, delivered from the tragic stereotypical representations commonly made of contemporary migrations.
