During the Dakar Biennale 2022, the art magazine AFRIKADAA presents the 4th edition of the African Art Book Fair (AABF) with a wide selection of international independent publishers and artists from 20 to 22 May 2022.
During its first edition at the Biennale of Contemporary Art in Dakar in May 2016, the African Art Book Fair met with great interest from the public and professionals of contemporary art. Building on the success of previous editions (2018), the AABF has decided to continue to support the art publishing and critical production sector. It will be present again with new projects of editions and art books during the Biennale de Dakar 2022 which will celebrate its 14th edition directed by the curator and art historian, Dr. El Hadji Malick Ndiaye.
The AABF also aims to be a platform for dialogue and debate on new editorial practices, critical production around different writing formats, questioning the publication as an artistic and curatorial practice without forgetting the issue of distribution on the international level.
