Works by the Senegalese artist Cheikh Ndiaye and Ivorian artist Ouattara Watts are presented in the international exhibition of the 13th Dakar Biennale at the former Courthouse until June 2nd.
With his installation Brise-soleil des indépendances, Cheikh Ndiaye questions an architectural symbol of the city, The Hôtel Indépendance. In his paintings Ouattara Watts explores the spiritual links that exceed concrete notions of nationality and geography. Each piece contains a message to decipher through multiple levels of reading.
