Binta Diaw, lauréate du 21e édition du Premio New York: Binta Diaw
The winners of the 21st edition of the Premio New York are Binta Diaw and Sara Ravelli. They will be in NYC February–June 2026, working in studios at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts in Manhattan. The selection committee was: Claudio Pagliara, (Director, Italian Cultural Institute of New York, serving as President); Stefano Collicelli Cagol (Director, Luigi Pecci Center for Contemporary Art); Giorgio Spanu (Collector and Co-Founder, Magazzino ltalian Art); Alexandra Unthank (Director, EFA Studio Program – Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts); and Barbara Faedda (Executive Director, Italian Academy for Advanced Studies, Columbia University).
About the program
Emerging Italian artists can have a 5-month residency in in New York City—with a stipend plus space in a lively studio building. We are glad to be a founding partner of this program that has brought in 50 artists over the years. The Premio New York is promoted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture; by the Directorate-General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; by the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, and by the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies of Columbia University.
