The publication Assoukrou Aké, Précis d’anatomie et d’une dissection is the first monograph devoted to the artist. Produced with the support of the Casa de Velázquez, it offers an immersion into his universe through his printmaking practice. Contributions by Edem Allado, Oulimata Gueye, Smaïl Kanouté, and Ludovic Delalande each provide a singular perspective on the artist’s work, uncovering and revealing the reverse side of his approach. Blending interview, critical essay, and poetic text, these writings highlight the close relationship between Assoukrou’s printmaking practice and his personal history, while exploring the memorial, political, and sensorial dimensions that run through his work.
