THE SIGH OF THE MOUNTAIN - On Echoes and Traces in Our Landscapes @ Haus für Kunst Uri, Altdorf, Suisse: Binta Diaw

Galerie Cécile Fakhoury is pleased to share Binta Diaw's participation in the group exhibition The Sigh of the Mountain – On Echoes and Traces in Our Landscapes, presented jointly at Haus für Kunst Uri and Kunsthaus Glarus in Switzerland. Curated by Annette Amberg and Gioia Dal Molin, the exhibition brings together eighteen artists from Switzerland and abroad to explore the notions of echo, landscape, and memory.

Taking the Alpine landscapes surrounding the two institutions and the Klausen Pass as its point of departure, the exhibition examines the social, cultural, and political resonances embedded within places. Through works that engage with histories of migration, colonial and ecological exploitation, and collective memory, The Sigh of the Mountainconsiders how landscapes preserve, transmit, and transform the stories they hold.
