Curated by Didier Claes, Africa Legacy brings together more than 250 classical and contemporary works in Brussels, drawn from private and institutional collections. Presented at Espace Vanderborght with the support of the City of Brussels and the Centre Culturel Congolais, the exhibition offers an immersive journey across time, revealing the enduring continuity of African forms, symbols and imaginaries.

From classical art to contemporary practices, the exhibition traces a continent in constant motion, whose visual cultures have long nourished, inspired and transformed the global history of art.

Above all, Africa Legacy is an invitation to look, to feel and to be moved by the beauty of the works, while affirming Africa’s fundamental place in the universal history of artistic creation.
