Galerie Cécile Fakhoury is pleased to announce its participation in the 6th edition of Art X Lagos, which takes place from 4 to 7 November 2021.
The artists Aboudia, Dimitri Fagbohoun, Marie-Claire Messouma Manlanbien, Roméo Mivekannin and Ouattara Watts will be together for the first time, an opportunity to dive into a diversity of artistic practices through a beautiful sensory experience where textures and shapes will dialogue together.
From Ouattara Watt's watercolor on paper to Marie-Claire Messouma Manlanbien's tapestery; Dimitri Fagbohoun's bronze and ceramics sculptures; Aboudia's textured painting on canvas or Roméo Mivekannin's painting and elixir baths on free canvas, our proposal is a celebration of the sensory, the haptic and the embodied.
The diverse mastery of these technics by each artists is creating a chorus of voices testifying for the crossings of cultures, times and geographies as a fascinating way to question historical heritage and contemporary narratives from Africa and its diaspora.
